Nikita Shanin won the 2nd Prize at the Four-Minute-Thesis (4MT) Competition organized by the IEEE Communications Society. The 4MT Competition challenged PhD students to explain their research topic to a broad non-specialist audience in just 4 minutes. In the preliminary round of the competition, the participants described their research findings in four-minute video presentations. The Top 15 competitors selected in the preliminary round were invited to the final round, which took place on December 5 at the Globecom 2023. The judging was based on the comprehension, content, and engagement of the presentation.
