EmpkinS researcher Vanessa Wirth, on behalf of her co-authors, won the Digital Rheumatology Research Award 2024

We are pleased to announce that Vanessa Wirth, on behalf of her co-authors, won the Digital Rheumatology Research Award 2024 for the paper “ShaRPy: Shape Reconstruction and Hand Pose Estimation from RGB-D with Uncertainty”, previously published at IEEE/CVF ICCVW.

Among all nominations, this award is given to the most innovative publication in the field of digital rheumatology in the last two years and includes prize money as well as an article to be published on the Digital Rheumatology Network website.

The award was presented at the 6th Digital Rheumatology Day, which connects leading experts from a wide variety of disciplines like physicians (Rheumatologists, Radiologists, Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, Immunologists), patients, pharma and MedTech industry, Health IT companies, associations, consultants and academia as well as research centers to discover new innovative practices.
