Check out Sophie Fleischmanns new article “Investigating psychosocial stress arising from marker-based optical motion capture and subsequent effects on gait“, which has been published in the latest issue of Scientific Reports.

🎥 🚶‍♀️‍➡️ Optical motion capture requires participants to wear minimal clothing, have markers placed through direct contact with the examiner, and complete the movement tasks while supervised by several researchers. Still, we want them to move naturally. But is that even possible in that kind of setup?

📋 In their recent study, Sophie and her coauthors investigated whether this standard motion capture procedure makes participants feel stressed, and whether that results in unwanted gait alterations.
