Prof. Cornelia Weise and her team at FAU KinderUni
EmpkinS Co-speaker Prof. Cornelia Weise and her team Annika Heuler, Carolin Oeler and Sebastian Lehnfeld participated in the FAU KinderUni in November 2025.
The children engaged in a fun and interactive presentation about emotions, eagerly sharing their experiences of feeling sad, angry, or happy and how they sensed these feelings in their bodies. Cornelia and here colleagues were particularly impressed by the creative strategies they had already developed and were using to cope with negative emotions.
Afterwards, the children had the opportunity to make emotion clocks as a way to help them express their feelings when they are not able to communicate them verbally.
It was once again a wonderful event for all participants, and everyone is looking forward to next year’s FAU KinderUni!
