📢 How should AI be governed in medicine?
A new paper by Michael Hahn, David Samhammer, Max Tretter, and Peter Dabrock was just published in Humanities & Social Sciences Communications.
In „An actor-network-theory informed normative framework for the governance of AI-systems in medicine“, they explore what Bruno Latour’s thinking on mediation can contribute to AI governance in healthcare.
Based on this, they develop a set of evaluative questions to support the normative assessment of AI-systems for medical decision-making.
⁉️ Key questions are:
➖What goals should be pursued when using AI in medical decision-making?
➖Which stakeholders should be involved?
➖How should they be involved?
➖Who should be responsible?
✅ Their aim is to contribute to more responsible governance and implementation of AI-systems in medicine.
