Kids Academy

Children are curious, ask questions, and seek to explore the world around them. Similarly, science thrives on inquiry; it’s based on asking questions, discovering things, and critically examining deeper concepts. EmpkinS is actively involved in many university programs specifically designed for children.

FAU regularly hosts the Children’s University ‚Holiday‘ for young researchers in Erlangen. Many dedicated scientists put together an exciting program for the curious young investigators and are eager to introduce children to the world of science. Prof. Matthias Braun and doctoral candidate Eva Maria Hille (subproject E) from the Chair of Social Ethics at the University of Bonn regularly offer additional formats for science communication with children. In July 2024, for instance, the children’s studio at the Women’s Museum joined them for a fun-filled day where they explored the theme ‚We Make the Future‘.
