Theater Production „Small Steps“

Together with the clinical DFG research group KFO 5024 (GB.com) from UKER, we had the great honor of welcoming the Schlosstheater Thurnau at the E-Werk in Erlangen on February 4 and 5, 2025.

During two sold-out evenings, the performers Claudia Kurrle and Wolfgang Krebs presented an authentic play that powerfully portrayed the struggle, hope, and confidence involved in dealing with Parkinson’s disease. They provided the audience valuable information about the disease and encouraged everyone to reflect on their own lives.

In a subsequent panel discussion, experts from FAU and UKER engaged with nearly 250 affected individuals and interested parties to discuss the latest scientific findings as well as the diverse challenges and opportunities related to Parkinson’s disease.

A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who contributed to this special event, whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in preparation!

Insights into the play can be found in the video documentary produced by Can Demirci: YouTube/@EmpkinS.
